The Complete Digital Presence Checklist for Indian Jewellery Brands

Before you spend a single rupee on marketing, make sure your digital foundation is solid. Here is the exact checklist Maximalist uses when auditing a new jewellery brand's digital presence.

Most jewellery brands are building on a broken foundation

When a jewellery brand comes to Maximalist frustrated with their marketing results, the first thing we do is a full digital audit. In most cases, the problem is not the marketing — it is the foundation the marketing is being built on. A weak Instagram presence, an outdated website, inconsistent branding across platforms, and no lead capture system will undermine even the best ad campaign.

Here is the complete checklist we use. Go through every point honestly.

Instagram & Social Media

Your Instagram bio should clearly state what you sell, who you sell to, and how to buy. Your profile photo should be your logo, clean and legible at small sizes. Your highlights should include your collections, testimonials, and process or behind-the-scenes content. Your feed should have a consistent visual language — not a mismatch of styles, filters, and photo qualities. You should be posting at least five times per week across feed and reels. If any of these are not true, fix them before you run a single ad.

Website

Your website should load in under three seconds on mobile. It should clearly communicate your brand story and positioning above the fold. It should have high-quality product photography — not blurry catalogue images. It should have a clear primary call to action: book a consultation, visit the showroom, or shop now. It should have customer reviews or testimonials visible without scrolling too far. It should have your WhatsApp number prominently displayed. If you are a D2C brand, your checkout process should have fewer than four steps.

Lead capture and follow-up

This is where most jewellery brands lose. A customer who expressed interest and was not followed up with within two hours is almost certainly lost. You need a WhatsApp-first lead follow-up system. Every lead — whether from Meta ads, Instagram DM, website enquiry, or walk-in — should enter the same CRM or tracking system and receive a follow-up within two hours during business hours. Brands with a structured follow-up system convert at two to three times the rate of brands without one.

Brand consistency

Open your Instagram, your website, your WhatsApp Business profile, and your Google Business Profile side by side. Do they look like they belong to the same brand? Same logo, same colour palette, same tone of voice? If not, your brand is leaking trust at every touchpoint. Consistency is not a creative luxury — it is a conversion requirement.

Fix the foundation first. Then scale. The brands that scale fastest are the ones with the strongest foundations — not the ones with the biggest ad budgets.
